Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Ventures attend Jubilee camp at Hesley celebrating 10 years of Beavers, 80 years of Cubs and 50 years of Hesley Wood.
A Gang Show is performed by the Group for the county, produced by Andrew Watson. Further entertainment was also provided by Waugh, Mike Cottam (ooooooohh Skipping Pig!) and some memorable jokes from John Humphry!
2000
Millennium Camp at Hesley in the Summer with another Ecclesall Gang Show for the County, following on from the success of the Group Gang Show in February, which made a profit of £1677.
EMU Ventures celebrate 10th anniversary at the Grosvenor Hotel.
EMU Summer holiday to Estartit.
Richard Bainbridge is Group Chairman.
Activities include Camps in Kent, Jumble Sale, Sixer’s Camp at Castleton and Cub District camp at Walesby.

20th Sheffield Scouts 90th Anniversary (1911 - 2001).
Anniversary dinner organised by Jim Buckley.
Summer Camp in South Hams, Devon.
Thursday Scouts win District Sports evening at Silverdale.
Squirrel Pack win Football competition at Abbeydale Sports Club.
Cubs have a night at Lazerzone.
Answer That entertainment night launched, raising £600.
2002
Lads and Dads camp held again at Chatsworth.
Group hold Golden Jubillee Summer fair at back of the Scout room, with the Venture providing entertainment as a Human Fruit Machine.
Summer Camp in Bude.
Uniform changes to more modern, casual dress.
Beavers complete their Science and Experiment badges.
Cubs have Winter camp at Castleton and take part in a mini Olympics.
2003
Wednesday Scouts opens, run by Graham Brown, with the transfer of 14 members from the closing St Gabriels, which quickly grows to 27 members.
Summer camp held near Wareham, Dorset and working on a Land Rover project.
Thursday Scouts attend Splashdown at Rother Valley and camp in Devon.
2003 sees the closure of Ventures nationally and the launch of Explorers. 16 people attend first meeting. A unit is partnered with the Group, run By Sian Stockham and Tony Richardson. Their first weekend away is Wilkin Hill.
Cubs hold their regular camps at Walesby and Castleton.
Answer That raises £993.
Summer Fair raises £500 as does the raffle.

Thursday Scouts camp at Bude, 10 miles from the Boscastle floods - a memorable, if damp, experience for all.
EXU head to Snowdonia for a sponsored walk and try Scuba diving. Both Troops hold a joint camp at Castleton where they make water rockets - which the Scouts love.
Cubs camp at Walesby and Castleton.
Wednesday Scouts enjoy the Ski village and a survival camp.
Cubs visit Fire Station.
Beavers hold a Mexican theme night.
2005
Richard Bainbridge organises parents to paint the Scout Room and Paul Huntington sands the floor.
Family picnic at Common Lane in July.
Parents widen the driveway to allow safer entrance for young people and the camp lorry - after we have knocked the wall down several times with the van!
January 2005: Whole Group takes part in a Tsunami car wash to raise £1000 for Scouts affected by the Asian Tsunami

Letter received from Chief Scout Peter Duncan, congratulating 20th on membership increase.
95th Anniversary Dinner held at Tapton Hall.
Printer cartridge recycling ends, as not sufficient funds being raised for the effort.

4 EXU members win the National APEX Challenge weekend.
EXU Summer camp in UK, visiting cider factory and surfing.
EXU 24-hour pantomime in January was a great team exercise.

Cubs camp in Walesby and Castleton.
Cubs take part in Scouting centenary challenges and visit Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
