1931
The church take a more active interest in the Troop. The Reverend S Price is made Group Scoutmaster.
1932
The Troop neckerchief is changed to black and yellow with the Ecclesall badge at the point. The badge is a replica of the coat of arms of Sir Ralph de Ecclesall: six martlets (a bird similar to a swift); 3 either side of a divided shield.
1935
Rover Scouts officially launched at Ecclesall.
1936
Membership has risen to:

The Group Scoutmaster is now Reverend D N E Brinbe.

1940
With war once again commanding national thought, the Scout’s effort was collecting scrap metal. A competition was run by the Sheffield Association for the most scrap collected. 20 tons was collected in June and July with the Master Cutler, William W Wood, presenting a trek cart to the winners.

Records show that John Milner passed his Backwoodsman Badge, which made him a King’s Scout. He went on to represent the Troop at Windsor for the national St. George’s Parade.
The King’s / Queen's Scout Award is the highest youth award achievable in the Scouting movement in the Commonwealth realms, including the United Kingdom, Canada (Queen's Venturer Award), Australia, and New Zealand (Queen’s Scout Kauri Award).

Arthur Somer-Cocks (6th Baron Somers, 1887 - 1944) named as Chief Scout of the British Empire.

Thomas Corbett (2nd Baron Rowallan, 1895 - 1977) named as Chief Scout of the British Commonwealth and Empire.

1947
The 6th World Scout Jamboree was held at Moisson, France with Michael Bird of the 20th taking part.

Group Committee reforms, with long discussions about how to cash in the War Bonds the Group had bought. It seems Leaders were difficult to find, and older boys appeared to be running the meetings.
Cubs has a waiting list, and leaders required.
